Maria H. Saenz, 76, of Big Lake, Tx. went to be with her Lord on October 2, 2006 in Austin.

A Rosary will be read at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with interment following in the Glenrest Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North.

Mrs. Saenz was born in Del Rio, Tx. on September 10, 1930.

Survivors include her husband, Manuel Saenz of Big Lake, three sons, Mauro H. Castillo and wife Esperanza and Faustino H. Castillo and wife Sylvia both of Big Lake and Concepcion Castillo and wife Annabel of Austin; three daughters Dora Elia Villarreal of Big Lake, Mary Delgado and husband Thomas of Neiderwal, Tx. and Rogelia Armendarez and husband Jimmy of Rankin. She is also survived by two grandsons whom she raised as her own, Andres Hernandez and wife Brenda of Beaumont, Tx and John Hernandez and wife Francinne of San Marcos.

Other survivors include three sisters, Antonia Patino of Ft. Worth, Rosa Bela of Dallas and Olivia H. Perez of Big Lake., 33 Grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
