Raul Resendez, age 83, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, in San Angelo.  He was norn March 10, 1934, in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, to Bernarda and Eusebio Resendez.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Elia (Moran) Resendez; daughters, Elva Fisher, Dora Resendez, Norma Ibarra, Irma Ramos, Elizabeth Resendez, Sonia Castillo, and Veronica Resendez; sons, Oscar Resendez, Raul Resendez, Jr., Julio Resendez, Guillermo Resendez, and Carlos Resendez; brother, Bernabe Resendez; he is also survived by 46 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 29,  from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N. Oakes St.; Sunday, April 30, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 P.M. at Nueva Esperanza Iglesia Apostolica located at 1101 E. Harris St., and Monday, May 1, from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.  A Chapel Service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, at 10:00 A.M.  Interment will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Raul Resendez, Jr., Julio Resendez, Guillermo Resendez, Oscar Resendez, Jaime Martinez, and Juan Martinez.
