Carolyn Wright Cook, “CC” was finally reunited with her husband during the early morning hours of April 10, 2024. She was born to John Wright and Evelyn (Duncan) Wright on May 19, 1952. She was the baby sister of two older brothers, Larry and Gary Wright. She met her husband, George Cook early in life and they were blessed with 54 years of marriage. They had one daughter, Jessie Mae Hoes and her “favorite son-in-law" Jesse Don Hoes, and was Nana to one granddaughter, Elizabeth Currie and one grandson Isaac Currie. She was also a “Doggie Nana” to three fur babies.
Mrs. Cook was an industrial cook for 40 years working in hospitals and had over 20 years of cooking experience for SAISD. She was a member of Grace Temple Baptist where she enjoyed volunteering in any way she could. She always enjoyed making people laugh and surprising them with gifts and cards. She was gifted at writing poems and being a family caregiver. Her sunshine personality will greatly be missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mom, As I sit here and watch your chest rise and fall,
I can’t help but think when you enter those pearly gates,
How it will be worth it all. As you run into Dads loving arms,
For the separation is through.
You will have such overwhelming joy and perfect peace that you won’t know what
to do!
Oh, the sights to behold as you look in amazement at everything made of gold!
Next, you’ll come upon Jesus and all of his glory. You’ll finally be in perfect peace
for all your trials are done and get to live for all eternity with The Father and The
Son. I love you Mom and I’ll see you soon!
Love your daughter,
Jessie Mae Hoes
