Inez Zapata Noriega, 80, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017. Inez was born Jan. 21, 1937 to Leandro and Isabel Rios Zapata of San Angelo.

Inez, was a dedicated and devoted Catholic, along with her husband, David at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband David Noriega, the love of her life and whom she was married to for 62 wonderful years; daughter Annette Perez and husband Edward of San Angelo;  daughter Terri Hogue and husband Greg of Plano; son David Noriega Jr. of San Angelo. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Cali Zapata and wife Rosemary of San Angelo, Trinidad Zapata of San Angelo, Jimmy Zapata  and wife Audencia of San Angelo, Anita Welborn and husband Bill of Conroe. She is also survived by eight grandkids; Christopher Perez, Andrew Perez, Brittne Noriega, Dannie Noriega, David Ann Noriega, Jordan Perez, Samuel Hogue and Sofia Hogue. Seven great-grandkids; Isabella Perez, Julius Ponce, Sophia Perez, Ian Ayala, Ciara Perez, Emmett Perez and Elijah Shaffer-Perez. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m till 9:00 p.m on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. A Rosary will be read at 7:00 p.m on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m, Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
