Lilia Tapia Obituary

Mrs. Lilia "Guillerminia" Roque de Tapia, 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 surrounding by her family. She was born June, 27, 1936 in Mazatlan, Mexico. Visitation will be Sunday and Monday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary on Sunday at 7:00 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Joey Faylona, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker. Survivors include her husband Benjamin, her daughters, Lilia Mitchell (Freddy Romangano), Mary Tapia Holder (David), Elsa Tapia (Pablo Hurtado) and Yvonne Tapia and sons, George Tapia (Clara) and Benjamin Tapia Jr.. She was preceded in death by her son Juan Pedro Tapia. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Julian and Christian Tapia, Gabe Tapia Holder, B.J. Valadez, Javen Valadez and Victor Sanchez. Alternate pallbearer will be Anthony Canava.
