Nicolasa C. Hogeda, 89, of San Angelo, passed passed with peace and grace on September 8, with her family at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Crecencio in 2007. Survived by sons, Armando (Laverne) of Waco; Crecencio, Jr. (Diana) of San Angelo; Albert Jesse (Isabel) of Houston; Alfred George, Abel, and Andrew (Myra) all of San Angelo; 22 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving son Arnulfo (Arnold) Hogeda. Nicolasa, “Nikki” and “Memo” as she was known to everyone, was born in San Angelo. After marrying Crecencio in 1946, she threw her energies into raising their children and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Her greatest passion was cooking for her family. She will always be remembered as a joyful, loving mother and grandmother. Nicolas is also survived by five sisters, Enedina Castillo, Adelfa Montez, Eva Juarez, Lupe Coronado, Tomasita Hinojosa and one brother, Edward Coronado. She is predeceased by her parents, Andres and Julia Coronado; sisters: Nellie Melendez, Juanita Salazar, Alicia Juarez and brothers Richard, Louis and Joe Coronado. A rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., September 13, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Innocent Eziefule from Menard as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandsons.
