Soyla Ramirez Obituary

Soyla Ramirez, 97, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Chapel services will be on Friday at 10:00 am in the "Remembrance Chapel" of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Ramirez is preceded in death by her husband of 73 yrs, Andres Ramirez Jr. and her children, Ruben Ramirez, Sarah Charlesville and Rey Ramirez. She was born March 10, 1921 in Carlota, Texas. Survivors include her children, Mary Lou Ramirez, Rudy Ramirez, Pauline Bargas, Angie Lara, Janie Rios, Andrea Alvarez, Hopie Carrillo and Romie Ramirez. Other survivors include her brother, Felipe Adame and three sisters, Jesusa Ortegon, Carino Mata and Cuca Sanchez, 44 grandchildren and 140 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, homemaker and gardener. She was very talented in her sewing and often made quilts for other people.
