Alfredo M. Acosta Sr., of San Angelo, Texas passed from this life and entered into the presence of his Lord on September 8, 2024, at Park Plaza Nursing Home. Alfredo was born October 23, 1937, in Lockhart, Texas to Jose and Maria Acosta. Alfredo lived in Eola, Texas for many years. He was fond of fishing and playing drums.
Alfredo was a farmer, plain and simple, a worker of the earth, he knew draught and rain, a man who loved the land and Autumn’s golden glow. When Alfredo was not working on the land, he was a welder until his retirement.
His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all the time. Alfredo was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his beloved wife and companion, Maria Acosta, and daughter, Mary Doris Acosta.
Mr. Acosta will be deeply missed his children, Freddie Acosta and wife Linda, Estella Acosta and Dora Martinez and husband Mauricio.
Alfredo will be forever remembered by his 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
The Acosta family will receive family and friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas. Interment to follow at a later date.
The family of Alfredo Acosta would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the staff at Park Plaza Nursing Home as well as the staff of Interim Hospice for their genuine care and professionalism with which their dedicated caregivers provided to our beloved Alfredo.
