It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Samaripa on August 26, 2025, at the age of 65.
A memorial service will be held to honor her life on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 N Oakes St, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1501 W Ave N, San Angelo, TX 76903.
Born on April 1, 1960, in San Angelo, TX, Alice was the daughter of Tommy and Lilly Samaripa. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be sincerely missed by all who knew her. She was widely recognized for her steadfast commitment to family and her compassionate nature.
Alice faced life’s challenges with generosity and selflessness, always providing for others and offering support to those she cared about. Her sense of humor naturally uplifted those around her, often brightening any environment she entered. Alice dedicated much of her life to her children and granddaughters.
She is survived by her children, Monica (Andrea) Wilborn-Nieto and Joe Wilborn; granddaughters, Ava and Amaya Wilborn-Nieto; siblings, Emma (Johnny) Darilek, Linda (Joe) Lombrana, Robert Samaripa, Edward Samaripa, Manuel Samaripa, and Amanda (Albert) Herrera; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Lilly Samaripa, and her brother, Tommy Samaripa Jr. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for the expressions of love, prayers, and support during this challenging time. Everyone whose lives she touched.
