Alonzo Mendez

Alonzo (Haricol) Mendez, 88, of San Angelo, TX passed away on Monday Jan. 25, 2021. He was born on Feb. 22,1932 to Manuel and Cidelia (Rodriguez) Mendez in Del Rio Texas. Alonzo worked for several years for the Mendez Roofing Company, his passion was to fix things and help others. On Oct. 30,1964 he married the love of his life Rosa Pena Mendez. He is proceeded in death by his parents, also by his sibling Concepcion (Nono) Mendez and  Pabla Mendez. Alonzo is survived by his loving children Henry Mendez, Barbara Mendez, Joe Mendez, Cedelia (Ruben) Lombrania, Rosie (Ryan) Bakurza, Jennifer (Daniel) Morales, Rodney Mendez, and Haricol Mendez. He also is survived by 13 grandchildren Margrita, Edmundo, Rosemary Rodriguez; Henry Jr Mendez; Ruben, Corinthia Lombrania; Anastasia, Alexis, Zachary Bakurza; Sapphire Morales Vasquez, Azariah Morales; Jazabel , Rodney Jr Mendez. and his 4 great grandchildren. Alonzo will be loved and missed by all that crossed his path. Funeral service will be held at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N Oakes St. on Monday Feb. 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed and donated.
