It is with great sadness and love that the family of Alvaro Garza Morales Jr. (Boy) announces his passing on April 14, 2021. Alvaro went to be with the lord at the young age of 41. Alvaro was born on January 23, 1980 in San Angelo, TX to the late Alvaro Garza Morales Sr. and Yolanda Zapata. After graduating from Sweetwater High School, Alvaro went to work for numerous restaurants as a cook where he then ended up at Joe's Italian Restaurant and worked there for many years. Alvaro then changed careers and went into construction until he couldn't work anymore due to his illness. Alvaro was married to Erica Martinez for 18 years and had four children, Alvaro Morales III, Angel Morales, Amber Delgado, Irene Delgado (Alex). Alvaro had two granddaughters Syla and Adelyn. Alvaro was full of life always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He was a great cook and he loved to watch football and spend time with his kids and grandchildren.
Alvaro is preceded in death by his father Alvaro Garza Morales Sr., Paternal grandfather Guadalupe Morales, Maternal grandfather David Rodriguez Sr. as well as other extended family members. He is survived by his wife Erica, four children Alvaro Morales III, Angel Morales, Amber Delgado and Irene Delgado (Alex). Grandchildren Syla and Adelyn. Mother Yolanda Zapata and husband Joe, sisters Susanna Diaz and husband Benny, Amanda Sandoval and husband Manuel, Amy Ramirez and husband Ronald David Ramirez, Anna Montemayor and husband Ray, Steven Morales and wife Andrea, Jennifer Yanez and Rudy Ramirez, Brenda Morales and husband Josh Mercer. Alvaro had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas. Visitation will also be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 commencing at 11:00 a.m. with a Prayer Service scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes with interment to follow at Fairmont Cemetery, 1120 West Avenue "N", San Angelo, Texas.
Pallbearers will be nephews Rudy Vijil Jr., Mark Vijil, Jordan Vijil, Alonzo Vallejo Jr., Jacob Navarrete, and Robert Diaz.
Family would like to thank Dr. Hitchcock and Dr. Goritsas along with the nursing staff of Shannon Hospital.
