It’s all about the moments
And not about the game
The memories that we make
Where we never are the same
There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing a father, my dad, Arcadio Gonzalez, was granted his angel wings on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Arcadio was one of 12 siblings born to Feliberto Gonzalez and Maura Varela Gonzalez in Logos de Moreno, Zacatecas, Mexico. Those siblings surviving Arcadio are his sister, Juanita Gonzalez and his brothers, Antonio Gonzalez and Alfredo Gonzalez.
Arcadio will be forever remembered by his daughter, Jessica Gonzalez and fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Isaac Gonzalez, Alyssa Wiens, and Aiden Wiens.
He was truly dedicated to the love of his life, Leonarda to whom he was married 37 years before her passing.
Dad looked forward to the Season Opener every year, and you could count on him to always know the scores and the stats of his favorite teams. Baseball was something he enjoyed throughout his life, and when you think of him, you can’t help but imagine him sitting in the stands or on the sofa cheering on his favorite teams LA Dodgers, Chicago Cubs and his beloved Texas Rangers. Arcadio spent many hours on the sideline of a ball field where he cheered at hundreds of his grandson’s games. He celebrated for days the Texas Rangers World Series win in the 2023 season when the Rangers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in 5 games,
While I have lost my most beloved dad, many nieces and nephews have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at baseball stats and always had time to console others, he was preceded in death by a special niece, Kristi Trevino and a special nephew Juan Ocon.
Now that dad has passed into the arms of our Lord, his physical life on earth is over but it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him. Dad joins his parents, his siblings and nephew and niece in heaven
