Armando Torrez

Armando Acosta Torrez went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.  Armando was born July 5, 1931, in Del Rio, Texas to Bartolo & Refugia Torrez. 

Armando grew up in San Angelo, Texas. He later met and married his wife Maria Micaela Zapata on June 9, 1961, and made their home in San Antonio, Texas.  Armando and Micaela shared twenty-four beautiful years together until her untimely death in 1985.  Armando continued his life in San Antonio where he worked for the city of San Antonio up until his retirement. 

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his siblings, sister Juanita Aguirre of San Angelo, Texas and two brothers Santiago Torrez of San Angelo, Texas and David & wife Lupe Torrez of San Antonio, Texas.  Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Armando is proceeded in death by his wife Micaela, three sisters Petra Garza, Josie Torrez, and Rosalinda Martinez and three brothers Vicente Torrez, Pedro Torrez, and Gregory Torrez.
