Carlos Hernandez Sanchez

Carlos Sanchez passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas.  There are no words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing a son, husband, father and grandfather.  Carlos was born to Petra Hernandez Cruz and David Sanchez on September 5, 1962, in Ballinger, Texas. 

One of the most important things in Carlos’ life was working, he took great pride in each occupation he had, during his time off from work Carlos enjoyed fishing.  My son, may you find rest now in peaceful waters, where the fish rise endlessly, where lines are never tangled up.  May the perfect catch await you there, in heaven’s crystal streams.  Watch over us who fish below, until we meet beside still waters.

Carlos will be forever loved and forever remembered by his parents, Petra Hernandez Cruz and Raymundo Cruz Paulino, his wife Yvonne Tapia Sanchez, his sons, Juan Carlos Sanchez and Victor Sanchez.  He will be remembered by his brothers, Ernest Sanchez, Angel Sanchez Palacio and Raymundo Cruz Lara.  Carlos will be missed by his nine (9) grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas 76903 with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Harold Watkins, of Freedom Fellowship officiating.

The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 am  for a Graveside Service on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Rowena Cemetery, Rowena, Texas 76875.  All services have been entrusted to the Gutierrez Family and Gutierrez Funeral Chapels.
