Celia Saldana

Celia Saldana, 78, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in Frederick, Oklahoma.  Celia was born on October 29, 1942 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Francisco Urbina-Mendez and Anastasia Contreras Urbina.  Celia was the beloved wife of Gerardo Saldana, deceased. 

Celia leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children: Juan Saldana, son and wife Mary,  Celia Saldana Saenz, daughter and husband, Saul,  and her daughter, Ana Isabel Saldana.  Celia also leaves behind her adoring siblings: Maximino Urbina and wife, Isabel, Brigido Urbina (deceased) and wife, Natalia, Alejandro Urbina and wife, Maria, Marcelo Urbina and wife, Cristina, Juan Urbina and wife, Bertha, Rosalinda Urbina, Jesus Urbina and wife, Carmen, Martin Urbina and wife, Niriam.  Other survivors include her grandchildren, Crystal Isabel Richardson (Joseph), Juan Saldana Jr., Gerardo Saldana, Ashley Marie Saldana, Guadalupe Saenz, Jennifer Saldana, Saul Saenz Jr., Martin Santiago, Francisco Javier Saldana, Micaela Santiago, Abel Saldana, and great-grandchildren; Danuel Miguel Richardson, Cataleya Isabel Richardson and Leonidas Nathaniel Richardson.

Celia was a very kind and gentle soul, she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.  

Friends and family are invited and may call at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 16, 2021, 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 18370 Bledsoe Road, Mereta,  Texas with Rev. Joseph Choutapalli officiating.  Interment will follow at Eola-Mereta Cemetery Texas RR 381 on CR 1640.
