Mr. Charles Augustus Malone departed this life to abide with his Heavenly Father on February 5, 2022, in San Angelo, Texas, at the age of 73. Charles Augustus Malone was born December 8, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas to Charlie and Dorothy Malone. Charles attended Blackshear School in San Angelo, Texas.
Charles worked in the meat packing industry for over 40 years, aside from his work he enjoyed detailing cars and after-hours janitorial service. Charles would also enjoy a game of "eight ball" with friends, fishing, dancing and taking in a western movie with friends and family.
Charles will be fondly remembered as a loving brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Joyce Elaine Smith, who he loved unconditionally, a grand-son and several nephews.
Charles will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Dina Garnett and Ola King. He will be fondly remembered by his brother, Leroy McWilliams, his sisters, Gwendolyn Stone and Dineace Fleeks, as well as host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be remembered by his good friend, Al Strube and family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas. Charles's final resting place with be at Delta Memorial Park Cemetery, 3500 Arden Road, San Angelo, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers are Patrick Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Vernon Fay, Cleophus McWilliams and Honorary Pallbearers are Lionel Jeremaine King, Rayshad Michael King and Kalil King.
It is our prayer that God bestows His best unto all of you as you have been such a blessing in our time of need. We thank you so much for all kind acts, thoughts, deeds, and fervent prayers.
