Clemencia Canales

Clemencia Canales, 87, of San Angelo, passed away on Saturday, June 25th, 2022, in her home and surrounded by loved ones. Clemencia was born in Del Rio, Texas on November 23rd, 1934.  She married her husband of 61 years, Florencio Canales, and traveled the world as a military spouse. She was blessed with four beautiful daughters and devoted her life to caring for her pride and joy, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Those close to Clemencia knew her for her clever wit, sense of humor, and unconditional support. Clemencia was the first to offer help to those around her and could often be found in her kitchen creating meals and memories for the friends and family that she loved so dearly. She was quick to laugh with, forgive, and love her family unconditionally and wholeheartedly. No matter the circumstance, Clemencia’s love and devotion was the cornerstone to the Canales family.

Clemencia was preceded in death by her parents Gabriel and Gorgonia Lopez, her husband Florencio Canales, her daughter Nora Canales Ehrlich and her brother Julio Lopez. She is survived by her daughters Yolanda Roberson and husband Gary, Dora Ehrlich and husband Carl, Lupe Gutierrez and husband Hector Gutierrez Jr., ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels.
