Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt fell asleep in death surrounded by her family. Her memorial service will be held 12:30 pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2021 Pulliam St, San Angelo, TX and on Zoom ID# 84786173977 PW# 742689
She was born in Mora, NM on September 10, 1928 to Rubel and Cleofas Romero. She married Gregorio Torres on November 12, 1946. She was proceeded in death by her husband, her son Luis Torres, grandson Zach Torres, infant son Salome Torres and her Tia Suszana Fernandez of Mora, NM.
She dedicated her life to Jehovah God on October 6, 1960 and never looked back. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah until her death. She gave us a good example in what she did and said. Proverbs 1:8,9 reminds us, "And do not forsake the instruction of your mother..." She loved reading her Bible daily as well as writing and receiving letters. She also loved drawing flowers and animals.
She is survived by her children Robert (Elfida) Torres, Adela (Roy) Leal, Sarah (Pedro) Chavarria, Teresa (Dagoberto) Salas and Yvette Torres; brother Gilbert (Dahlia) Romero of Fort Collins, CO; sister Olivia Ochoa of Cheyenne, WY; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
We want to thank her neighbors who were always so good to our mom. Thank you to all our friends and family for your prayers, visits, and food you brought. Our mom would also have appreciated you all very much.
