It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mr. Eduardo "Eddy" Alcaraz, 39, of San Angelo, on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Eduardo "Eddy" Alcaraz was born August 21, 1984, in Mazamitla, Jalisco, Mexico to Rodolfo Mata Alcaraz and Maricela Lomeli Alcaraz.
Eduardo "Eddy" was a hard worker who was a dedicated husband and father to his children. Eduardo loved his time spent at his "Ranch", where he and his children would feed the animals and work - there was always something quiet and stirring to be next to nature - he found solace and peace in his small piece of the world. Eddy your labor is done, your home now is heaven; no more must you wait - your legacy lives on- your love of the land, and its creatures.
He had a passion for singing which brought joy to those around him and cherished the times he was able to teach and guide his children to drive at an early age.
Eduardo will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roxanne G. Alcaraz, and fondly remembered by his children, Zuleyka Anahi Alcaraz, Ilyanna Lizbeth Alcaraz, Eduard Nikolas Alcaraz, and stepson, Billy Ray. He will be forever remembered by his parents, Rodolfo Mata Alcaraz and Maricela Sanabria Alcaraz of Mazamitla, Jalisco, Mexico as well as his siblings, Rodolfo Alcaraz, Daniel Alcaraz, Salvador Alcaraz, Fernando Alcaraz, Gabriela Alcaraz, and Mario Alcaraz, as well as his grandmother "Abuela", Maria Del Refugio Mata Alcaraz from Mazamitla, Jalisco, Mexico. Eduardo will be missed by all of his nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.

God’s Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be thine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
to God’s Garden
