Elida Garcia-Gonzales, was born on July17, 1951. She passed away peacefully on December 26,2025, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a deeply spiritual woman devoted to God and was known for her warm heart and lifelong dedication to helping others. She spent over 40 years working at the local daycare and shaping generations with patience and joy. Her joy was listening to music and singing. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. In her younger days she would enjoy riding horses. Her kindness, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son Felix Valdez and his wife Mareesa Valdez, her son Alex Valdez, daughter Sabrina Cortez and fiancé Armand Villalobos: grandchildren, Liam Valdez and Silas Valdez, Kylan Baeza, Aaron “Brother” Baeza, and Luka Villalobos. Other survivors include his sisters, Viola Cabezuela and Blanca Segura, and brother Ralph Garcia. Also left to mourn her loss are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, her brother Joe Garcia.
