Fidel Hernandez, 59, passed away on May 30, 2022, in Leakey, Texas. Fidel Hernandez is survived by his wife, Josefina Hernández, of Knickerbocker Texas, their four children, Leslie Hernández, Patricia Bogs and her husband Tristan Bogs, Andres Hernández and his wife Ashlee Hernández, Luis Hernández and his wife Nicole Hernández, 8 grandchildren, Izaiah and Klyre Bogs, Eli and Isabella Hernández, Kayde, Alex and Addison Hernández. He is preceded in death by his parents Dionicio and Maria Luisa Hernandez and brother Javier Hernández.
He is survived by his seven siblings, Patricia Hernández, Isabel Rubio, Julieta Martucci, Dionicio “Chino” Hernández, Lourdes Jenkins, his twin sister Maria Luisa Propst, and Salvador Hernández.
Fidel was funny, charismatic, and lived a YOLO kind of life. He lived for his family, his friends, and the exuberant amount of people he crossed paths with and helped along the way. The kindness he held in his heart was open to anyone who was willing to take it and for that he will always be cherished.
Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas, with a Funeral Liturgy to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 3, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 12264 West Torres, Knickerbocker, Texas 76939, with Rev. Anthony Franco presiding, with committal following at the Knickerbocker Catholic Cemetery, FM 2335 one mile south of the intersection of FM 2335 with Knickerbocker Road (Ranch Road 584), Knickerbocker, Texas.
