Florinda Gatica Borjas

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Florinda “Flo” Gatica Borjas on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas.  She was the daughter of Juan Gatica and Catarina Salazar Gatica born on August 25, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sons, Anthony Borjas and Stephen Borjas, she will be forever remembered by her siblings, Johnny Gatica, Janie Sosa, Lucy Deanda, Anastasia Morales and Oralia Ramirez.  Flo was predeceased by her son, Richard Borjas, her sisters, Olivia Marquez and Josephine Gomez and brother, Jose Gatica.

 Flo was a lady who was kind, gracious and appreciative of family and friends. She was a dedicated mother and treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.  She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh and made friends everywhere, never meeting a stranger.

Until her health condition made it impossible, Flo was dancing and enjoyed the music that made her feel happy and joyful.

We know by our faith that Flo is united with her parents, her son and her siblings and that she lived a life well-lived and cherished every moment with her family and friends leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas with the Funeral Liturgy scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
