Gilbert Flores Subia, age 64 entered into eternal peace on Wednesday March 17, 2021. Gilbert was born January 18, 1957 in Big Lake, Texas to Santana and Mary Subia. He married Eusebia Escobedo Subia on June 12, 1976 and were married for 38 years before her demise. To that union there were born four children. Gilbert was a life long resident of Big Lake, Texas before moving to New Braunfels, Texas along with his wife, Veronica Dominguez Subia whom he wed in April, 2017.
Gilbert worked for J.L. Cox along side brother, Eddie Subia and other family and friends for many years before retiring in May 2017. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake, Texas and a member of the choir. He was a friendly familiar face at every Sunday mass. The legacy of Gilbert's kind spirit, passion for his faith and zest for life will live on through us his devoted family..
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and father in law and will be remembered for his affectionate, calming spirit, and love for old school classic vehicles. He was kind, compassionate, and grateful for time spent with family, children, grandchildren, and friends.
Gilbert is survived by his wife Veronica Dominguez Subia, his mother, Mary Subia, his four children, Michael Subia, Christy Askenette, Nick Subia, and Sara Subia. 6 grandchildren Nikaylee, Nichalos, Nikelija, Niviah, Julian, Alec, Eliah, and Mikayla. Step daughters Amber Butler and Adrienne McClanahan. Also surviving him is his brother Eddie Subia
Gilbert is now reunited with his father Santana Subia, wife Eusebia Subia, sister Dianna Acosta, and brother Santana Subia, Jr. .
