Herlinda Alvarez

Herlinda Alvarez, 49, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2024, in San Angelo, Texas.

She was born on November 27, 1974, to Juan Alvarez and Olivia Roman in Snyder, Tx. Linda was called home on April 18, 2024. She was a caregiver here in San Angelo for many years, and also worked for Taco Bell as a RGM where she met two special friends, Naquita and Alice. In which they gave her the tools to meet the love of her life Julio Torres. Linda fought a battle with cancer being diagnosed in December of 2021. She fought very hard and hung on as long as the Lord allowed her to. Linda was a very strong person and did not let cancer take over her laughs or ability to spend time with her family. The family would like to give special thanks to her companion Wendy.  Linda was a kind-hearted person, and anyone who knew her would have said the same. 

Linda is proceeded in death by her parents Oliva and Juan.  Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Julio Torres.  Other survivors are her surviving siblings, Maria Jimenez Gaytan of Camargo, Chihuahua, Armando Esquivel and spouse Alma of Cd. Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, Juan Alvarez and spouse Britany of San Angelo, Texas, Maria Alvarez and spouse Noelio Castro of Del Rio, Texas and Joe Alvarez and spouse Lori of San Angelo, Texas.

Her nieces and nephews include, Timothy, Melodi, Robert, Brianna aka, BriBri, Michael, Jasea aka Jasea Pooh and Caleb, great nieces and nephews include Olivia, Elena aka Flaka, Jayden, and Davian aka Luvbug 

Linda did not have children of her own but loved all of her nieces and nephews as if they were hers, with two very dear to her heart, Jordan Alvarez and Noelito Castro 

Visitation will commence at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes Street, San Angelo, Texas.
