In Loving Memory of Ignacia “Agnes” Dianda
On March 21, 2026, Ignacia “Agnes” Dianda, 70, of San Angelo, Texas, was welcomed into the peace she had, throughout her life, entrusted to the Lord.
Born on March 22, 1955, to Ignacio and Barbarita Hernandez, Agnes lived a life defined not by grand declarations, but by a steady and unwavering presence. She was the kind of person who showed up, consistently, quietly, and wholeheartedly for the people she loved.
As a devoted wife, she shared a lifelong partnership with her husband, Joe, whom she married on November 20, 1970. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, resilience, and the kind of companionship that deepens with time. As a mother, she led not through words alone, but through example, shaping her family with patience, faith, and a love that never asked for recognition.
Agnes worked for Walmart for over 34 years before retiring in 2021, forming lasting connections along the way. She moved easily through the world, never meeting a stranger, and leaving each place a little warmer for having been there. Whether tending to her flower beds, sewing, talking on the phone, or praying the rosary, she carried a quiet rhythm of life that reflected both devotion and joy.
Her family was the center of her world. She was there constantly, present at games, performances, ceremonies, and everyday moments alike. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew her as their most faithful supporter, their steady voice, and their enduring source of encouragement. To them, she was not only a matriarch, but a foundation.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Barbarita Hernandez; her in-laws, Luis and Maria Dianda; her sister, Esperanza “Hope” Munoz; and her brother, Santiago “Jimmy” Gonzales.
She is survived by her devoted & beloved husband, Joe; her children, Dolores Dianda, Cynthia Torres and husband Oscar, Amy Dianda, and Marcus Dianda and wife Courtney; her eight grandchildren, Aaron Torres and Ally Jaques, Alyssa Torres, Lorena Garcia and husband Chris, Arianna Juarez and husband Alan, Noah Dianda, Madalyn Flannery, Carson Dianda, and Mackenzie Dianda; and her five great-grandchildren, Alaina and Liliana Garcia, Olivia Dianda, Navarro and Natalie Juarez. She is also survived by her five sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved deeply.
Today, her family holds close the quiet assurance of her faith that she now rests in the Lord’s presence, at peace, held in the grace she trusted all her life. Though her absence is deeply felt, what she gave remains—woven into the lives she shaped, the love she carried, and the faith she lived without condition.
The Dianda family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Erica Rabe, Shannon Medical Center, Hospice of San Angelo, and the staff of Cedar Manor for their compassionate care.
