Irineo Mares

Irineo Mares-Aguilar (Neo) was born on June 29, 1961, in Villa Union, Coahuila. He was the first-born child of Constantino and Petra Mares and the oldest of six siblings: Aurora, Magdalena, Arturo, Juan, and Matilde. During his childhood, he helped his father with livestock, shaping his hard-working spirit. At age 14, he moved to Texas to pursue the American dream.

Neo started his own drywall business three decades ago, building a life and fostering many friendships along the way. He married his wife, Maria Antonia Mares, 40 years ago, and together they had three children: Adriana, Irineo Jr., and Melissa & Quinton Loos.  His family grew with the addition of three wonderful grandchildren—Zaylee Mares, Elijah and Carson Loos memories of traveling and sharing special moments with them being among his greatest joys.

Neo’s favorite pastime was going gambling at the casino in Eagle Pass, a fond activity that brought him joy. The world feels sadder without Neo—it’s hard to imagine life without his presence. He touched everyone around him, leaving behind cherished memories that will last forever.
