Jane Mendez was born on October 22 1939, in Seguin, Texas. She had six children and was a great stay at home mom until the early 1970s, when she then began her career at Ethicon, where she eventually retired after 20 plus years. As a devout Catholic, she was lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
In November of 1983 she married her love of her life. Eulalio Mendez. Together they shared numerous adventures of fishing, traveling, including many trips to the casino. She loved sports and if she wasn't playing on a company team, she was playing on teams with her kids. She bowled, played softball and pool. There was not any sport she would not play. She loved rooting for her favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. Even at the end she wanted to know when the Longhorns were playing. Hook'em Mom
