Jayden Everitt Obituary

A son’s and brother's presence are a quiet kind of strength, felt in the laughter he shares, the protection he offers, and the love he gives without needing to say a word, lives in the memories created with family, in the bonds of brotherhood, and in the moments that become part of who we are.

The time shared with Jayden C. Everitt, 26, has now come to an unexpected close. Though his time with us was far too brief, the love he gave, the laughter he brought, and the moments he created and shared with his family, nieces and nephews will remain with those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North, 1002 North Oakes Street from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support, prayers, kindness, and patience during this difficult time. They will be present to receive visitors on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the visitation.

A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North, with interment to follow at Belvedere Memorial Park in San Angelo, Texas.

The care and services are entrusted to the staff at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels.

Jayden was born on March 18, 1999, in Las Colinas, Texas and will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Renee Everitt and Tommie Deon Everitt, both of San Angelo.

He is survived by his siblings, Jordan K. Everitt of Dallas, Texas; Jayleah T. Everitt of San Angelo and fiancé Roderick Leyba; and Jevon N. Everitt and girlfriend Mikayla Heflin of San Antonio. Jayden is also survived by his grandparents, Abel and Susie Lopez of San Angelo, and Tommie Everitt of Corona, California.

He leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, McKinley Leyba, Gianna Everitt, Amelia Tatum-Everitt, Jekayln Leyba, Jakory Everitt, and Kasani Leyba, and is further remembered by two special aunts, Rachel McCleery of San Angelo and Vickie M. Everitt-Joseph of Los Angeles, California, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

Preceding Jayden in death were his paternal grandmothers, Dee Coleman of Arlington, Texas, and Charmane Everitt of Corona, California; his paternal great-grandparents, Nanan Everitt and Wills S. Everitt Sr., both of Los Angeles, California; his special cousin, Michael McCleery of San Angelo, Texas; and family friend, Andre Taylor of San Angelo, Texas.

Jayden graduated from TLCA San Angelo on May 19, 2017, where he was actively involved in athletics and played four years of varsity basketball.  He accepted Christ at an early age, a foundation that remained with him throughout his life.

He will be remembered as kind, humble, and patient, a young man whose easygoing nature and warm spirit made him deeply loved by all who knew him. He had a special way of connecting with others and was known for giving the best hugs.

The greatest joy Jayden found was in spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him. Jayden loved being outdoors, mowing yards, and enjoying life’s simple moments. He especially treasured his time with his grandparents, Abel and Susie Lopez, and looked forward to spending summers in California.

Athletics were an important part of Jayden’s life. While he enjoyed baseball and football, basketball was his true passion. A devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, he carried that love for the game both on and off the court.

Although this loss is heavy on the hearts of those who love him, Jayden’s presence will remain in their hearts and memories, where his spirit continues to be deeply felt.
