Jesus started roofing at a local roofing company and learned the trade very well.  So, well that in 1973 he started his own roofing company “Regino Roofing”.  Soon after his two brothers Jesse and Albert began working in the company, followed by Jesus’ two sons Jaime and Bobby until Jesus’ retirement many years later.

After retirement, Jesus spent his time with his beautiful wife Yolanda riding around town together, taking the grandkids apples and oranges or for a ride. He loved to draw and would draw several pictures for his family. Jesus and Yolanda’s passion was dancing, and every weekend, for many years they would go spend time together in each other’s arm’s dancing the night away. Jesus loved to watch PBR on Sundays, something he shared with his son Bobby.  Wheel of fortune was another thing that was shared with his sons. For his daughter Irma, it was the Dallas Cowboys as Jesus was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and both he and Irma cheered them on, talked about the plays, good and bad.  Jesus also loved western movies, especially the older ones, his daughter “Chayo” would watch westerns with him when she took over the newspaper. These and so many wonderful, beautiful memories all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will cherish.
