Jose Samaniego

Mr. Jose Samaniego,  a life-long resident of Midland, Texas, passed from this earth on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 N Oakes St., San Angelo, Texas with a Liturgical Service at 6:00 pm.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Elida C Samaniego, his daughter, Anita and Luis Avellana, of San Antonio, Texas, son Jamie and Jennifer Samaniego of Midland, Texas, Jonathan Urias of Midland, Texas, Jason and Estella Urias, of Midland, Texas and Beatriz Urias of Dallas, Texas.  Also surviving are his 17 grandchildren.

Mr. Samaniego was preceded in death by his son, Jose Samaniego Jr.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time with Elida, his wife, and taking "week-end" trips.  He also enjoyed watching horseraces.
