Laura Cruz, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister, Laura Cruz, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, unexpectedly in San Angelo, Texas, at the age of 54 years.
Laura Cruz was born March 2, 1969, in Mexico City to Pedro and Gloria Cruz. She graduated from Central High School in 1987 and attended Cosmetology School. She has worked in many fields, but mostly enjoyed working in the secretarial field.
In the words of her children, she was a force not to be reckoned with, strong, independent and unstoppable. Laura loved her children and being a mother to them, but enjoyed the time she spent with her granddaughters and was excited to welcome her newest grandchild, Akira Roberts this month.
Laura is survived by her spouse Richard Constancio, her children Oscar Brazeal, Alejandra Sanchez from North Carolina, Daniel Roberts from Brownwood, Texas, Emma Roberts from Iowa and her granddaughters Wynri and Paris. Her mother Gloria Cruz, brother Pedro Cruz and spouse Rosie, sister Maria Vasquez, sister Judy Torres and spouse Benjamin, sister Gloria Cooper and spouse Esamu and nieces and nephews.
Laura is preceded in death by her father Pedro Cruz, brother Oscar Cruz and her daughter Candelaria Brazeal.
Viewing will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 301 West 17th, San Angelo, Texas. No further services are planned.
