It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leroy Aguirre, 54, of Big Lake and formerly of San Angelo, Texas on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Big Lake, Texas. Leroy was born on March 2, 1968, in San Angelo, Texas to Frank Daniel Aguirre and Lydia Santellano Aguirre.
Leroy was the beloved husband to Nancy Jo Ringener and loving and devoted father to Nicholas Joe Aguirre and Logan Lee Aguirre all of Big Lake, Texas. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Scott Aguirre and Santino Aguirre as well as his sister, Brenda Echavarria. Predeceasing Leroy is his father, Frank Daniel Aguirre and his grandmother, Medarda Santellano. Leroy will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Leroy treasured his children and family and embraced every moment with them.
For a long time, the USC Trojans were the football team in Los Angeles, before the Rams and the Chargers came barging in, Leroy was an avid fan of USC football and counted himself among USC celebrity fans, including Will Ferrell, Tom Selleck, Spike Lee, Henry Winkler, Nick Lachey and Justin Turner and many others.
A Celebration of Leroy's life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes Street, San Angelo, Texas. Inurnment following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. 1501 West Avenue "N", San Angelo, Texas. Services have been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels and their staff.
