Lillie L. Bryson

Every family has someone whose presence becomes woven into its story. For the Bryson family, that person was Lillie.

Lillie L. Bryson, 77, of San Angelo, Texas, lived a life shaped by color, music, creativity, and the comfort of family.

Born on February 4, 1949, in San Angelo, Lillie’s story began in the same city where she would build a life, make memories, and love deeply. She married the love of her life, Harlen “Charlie” Bryson, and together they shared a bond that remained one of the most meaningful parts of her journey.

Lillie had a creative spirit. She enjoyed sewing patches, drawing, and finding beauty in the little details of life. She loved the colors purple and pink, but green was her favorite. Her favorite color remains questionable to this day, by her husband and children.

Country music was often part of her world, especially the songs of George Strait. She also held fond memories of traveling to Florida, where she enjoyed time away, new scenery, and moments that stayed with her.

More than anything, Lillie treasured time with her sisters. Their visits, conversations, laughter, and shared memories were among the joys she held closest.

Lillie will be remembered for her creative hands, her love of family, her quiet joys, and the colorful imprint she leaves on those who knew her.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Harlen C. Bryson of San Angelo, Texas; her children, Charlie Bryson, Jr., Karen Bryson, both of San Angelo, Texas and Lynda Bryson of Cocoa, Florida.  She is also survived by her sisters: Carol Tomlinson of San Angelo, Texas, Zina Vogt (Randy spouse), Trisha Wright of Athens, Texas and Dorothy Forczek of Seattle, Washington. Cherished niece Debra McCullough of Bastrop, Texas and many other loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lillie is preceded in death by her daddy, Marion Tomlinson, mother, MaryAnna Tomlinson, sister Loucinda Anderson, brothers Walter, Ernest (Totti), and Stumpy Tomlinson.

The family has entrusted Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North for guidance and support as they honor their loved one's life.
