Lupe Lozano Obituary

Guadalupe Bernal Lozano Sr. 74 went to meet his maker on Friday, April 14, 2023.  Lupe was born in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico on December 5,1948.  His family later moved to Texas where he then attended San Angelo Central High School and graduated in 1967.

 He married the love of his life on January 06,1968 and started a family.  In 1970, he moved to Lubbock, Texas and attended a ministry school and became a minister. He conducted services for several years in Lubbock, Texas and then moved back to San Angelo, Texas and continued to preach the Spanish services for the Church of Christ, and then was employed at the San Angelo Municipal Airport, City Lumber, Tom Green County Jail and finally was employed at the City of San Angelo Vehicle Maintenance shop where he served for 22 years.

 Lupe was a very affectionate loving person always hugging and kissing his family. He was “Dad” to everyone, not grandpa, he was the best Dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend you could ever have. He will be loved and missed deeply, he will be missed and forever in our hearts.

 Survivors include his children, son Lupe and Vera Lozano, daughter Lisa and Abel Valencia, daughter Jessica Machado. siblings, sister Maria and Jimmy Tyrrell, sister Rosa Byrd, sister Sylvia Salazar and husband Abel, sister Maria and Jess Burts, brother Daniel and Rita Lozano. 

 Lupe had 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Lupe is proceeded in death by his parents Pablo and Maria Lozano, his wife Amelia Soto Lozano his brother Paul Lozano and his sisters Janie McGinn and Evangelina Lozano and his son-n-law Cornlilio Machado (Joe).

Lupe Lozano Jr. and Jessica Machado would like to thank their sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Abel Valencia, for having the heart and taking very good care of our Dad all these years. I am sure he was as grateful as we are.

Family would like to invite you to come for his celebration of life on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas, with viewing to commence at 3:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. 

The family would also like to thank Shannon Medical Center and Clinic Staff, Angels Home Health Care, for his care throughout the years and Alpha Omega Hospice of Weatherford.
