Margie is survived by her spouse, Tony Schillo; her sisters, Evelyn Alvarado, Teresa Rodriguez, and Elizabeth DeLaGarza; her brother, Jesus Rodriguez; nephews; Alfredo Alvarado, Jr., Joard DeLaGarza; nieces; Eliza Rodriguez, Angel DeLaGarza; great nephews; Gunner Rodriguez and Shooter Rodriguez; great niece; Madison Rodriguez. Margie was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters, Crucillistas, Searcher and musical director the ACTS movement. Margie had a passion for her music ministry praising the Lord and her Blessed Mother, Mary. Her glow when she sang and played her guitar will live on forever with her legacy she created. She taught so many people how to play the guitar and feel prayer through music. Margie was a former music director for the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart, St. Margaret’s and Our Lady of Peace. She was the current choir director of St. Mar’s Church. Margie also served as a musical youth leader for CCW, St. Joseph’s, Sacred Heart and the surrounding communities, Bronte, Eldorado, Big Lake, Midland, Stanton, Sonora and Menard. She was a catechist for St. Joseph’s Church and the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Peace.
God has chosen a different path to motherhood for Margie, many young people were blessed to be called her Godchildren. They felt her warm embrace of love and advice always leading to Christ our Lord. Margie will forever be remembered for her heavenly voice and beautiful soul. We can say heaven has a new angel directing their choir.
