Margarita “Maggie” Ledesma, 84, formerly of Rankin, Texas passed away in her sleep at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Reagan County Care Center.
Born in Menard on May 14, 1938, to Petra and Aurelio Espinosa, she was raised in a Catholic household. She was the middle child among 13 siblings: Jose Maria, Rosalinda, Eroel, Roberto, Concesión, Dolores, Frank, Felipe de Jesus, Catalina, Fred, Maria Luisa, and Bertha. Margarita married her husband, Hector Ledesma in Menard in 1965.
Margarita loved reading her bible, sewing, listening to her radio, and her beloved pet parakeet, PeeWee. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hector. She is survived by her brother, Felipe de Jesus Espinosa, and sister, Maria Luisa. She is also survived by her children Juanita & Juan Sanchez of Big Lake, Margarita & Rogelio Ramos of Big Lake, Hector J.R. & Katina Ledesma of Iowa Park, and Ernesto Ledesma & Lisa of Pensacola, Florida.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Mercedes & Josh Dela Cruz of San Angelo; Hector Sanchez of San Angelo; Tiffany Dumont & her son Braden of Midland; Jane and Bruna Sanchez of Big Lake; Jennifer & Reynaldo Vega of Florida; Desiree and Shandi Ledesma of Houston; Talon Ledesma of Iowa Park; and Nigel Peña of Tyler.
A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Church located at 200 South. Main Street, in Big Lake, Texas.
