On April 27, 2024 Martha Yvonne Swaggerty Bryant, 63, of San Angelo Tx, after a short but courageous battle with Osteosarcoma ( Bone Cancer), passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband Tommy and family at her side.
Martha was born in Temple, Tx and graduated from Irving High School in Irving Tx. She was employed at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center, in Dietary Services. Martha throughly enjoyed her work, and formed enduring relationships with her coworkers. Over the last 2 years Martha struggled with health challenges, but continued to persevere on. She enjoyed work and took pride in helping others.
Martha was always a giver, a caregiver, a rock to lean on. She would and did help others without even a hesitation. She would give anyone the shirt off her back, even if it meant putting her situation in a bind.
Martha was the BEST Grandmother! The pride and joy of her life was her grandchildren. Evangeline, Dominick, and DaLacie filled her days with adventure, laughter and love. Being “Nana” was her crowning glory. These babies were her world! Martha loved purses! She never had too many. The bigger, more decorative the better. She enjoyed sharing her purses with the less fortunate (Haleigh)!!! She loved the Dallas Cowboys. Watching all the games and screaming at the TV with Tommy. Anything and everything “Cowboys”. Martha was a great cook and enjoyed teaching the kids how to cook. Martha enjoyed Antiques and going to garage sales, more than anything she enjoyed spending time with family. Just quality time together, even if it meant baiting hooks! Her laugh was contagious. The sound of her laughter could brighten your world.
Martha’s departure comes as a great shock and leaves a deep wound in the hearts of her family and countless others who loved her. We believe with all our hearts that Martha is not gone but lives within each of us fortunate to share in her light. Her love and compassion lives on.
Martha is survived by her loving husband Tommy. Daughter Haleigh Bryant, son in law Deric Van Zant, grandchildren Evangeline Williamson, Dominick Williamson and DaLacie Page all of Christoval, Texas.
Daughter Samantha Swaggerty of San Angelo, Tx, Mother Senorina Mann and brother Richard Kelsey of Santan, Arizona. Sisters Peggy Glinaik and Jessie Kelsey of Queen Creek Arizona, Sister Cynthia Kelsey of Prescott, Arizona
