Mary Doris Acosta

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mary Doris Acosta on December 14, 2021.  Mary was born to Alfredo Acosta and Maria Garcia Acosta on August 9, 1971, in Eden, Texas. Mary is now reunited with her mother, Maria in God's almighty presence. 

Mary is loving remembered by her father, Alfredo Acosta, and forever remembered by her sons, Javier Navarrette, Jr., and Joel Navarrette. her daughter, Chelsea DeLeon, her brother, Freddie Acosta and wife, Linda, her sisters, Estella Acosta and Dora Martinez and husband, Mauricio.

Mary enjoyed life, family members and many friends and was always there to brighten the lives of others. Mary was drawn to the working-class values and devotion to family that is part of lowrider culture — plus she liked the style, with its dickeys and baggy shirts. It was inexpensive and broke away from the mainstream.

Your presence is welcome at a memorial service to be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2021, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas led by Deacon Abel Fernandez.
