Ramona Martinez Campos

Ms. Ramona Martinez Campos was a one-of-a-kind individual, full of energy, always ready for music, laughter, and the kind of joy that invited others in. Whether it was the sound of Ramón Ayala playing, a karaoke microphone in hand, or a dance floor nearby, she embraced life with a spirit that was both lively and unmistakably her own.

May 04, 2026, marked the quiet close of a life so fully lived -- Ramona M. Campos, 86, of Ft. Worth, Texas.  Ramona was born in Lamesa, Texas on August 16, 1939. She was known for her cheerful presence, her humility, and the way she never met a stranger. Above all, she cherished being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, choosing connection and closeness over solitude every time. Rooted in a lifelong Catholic faith and, in more recent years, a deepening relationship with the Word of God, her life reflected both devotion and grace. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Angela (Leroy) Flores, Noe (Melinda) Campos, Mary (Ramond) Hernandez, Tony Campos, Norma (Luis) Martinez, and Anita Almeida; as well as 30 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Those who preceded Ramona in death include her husband Guadalupe Campos, her sons, Ruben, Guadalupe Jr., and Frank Campos; her daughter, Elean Campos; her parents, Tomas and Magdalena Martinez; and her great-grandson, Jesse Espinoza III. Great-Great-Granddaughter Jenny Scarbrough and a great-great-great grandson, Jason Scarbrough. 

The care of Ms. Martinez has been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North in coordination with Hawkins Family Funeral Home, 2711 Jacksboro Hwy, Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation and Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. & a prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Hawkins Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside service and interment will take place on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas at 1:00 p.m.
