Ricardo was born to Richard Rodriguez and Lupe Martinez, on July 1, 1973. Ricardo was born to do two things, love his family and car races. He loved his kids and had a special love for his grandchildren. They never heard the word “no”. Ricardo enjoyed going to the car races with his boys and couldn’t wait till they were old enough to go to the NHRA races with him and his cousin Jay. He was famous for being late, if he said the food was going to be ready at 6:00 pm, that meant that 6:00 pm was the starting time. He just was never in a hurry, no matter what, he was going to have a good day because God was good.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paz and Maria Rodriguez and Pefecto and Rosa Baca, his father Richard Rodriguez, sister: Melissa Morales, aunt and uncles, Gloria Carlos, and Eddie and his special cousin Ricky Bonilla.
Ricardo is survived by his children, Rick II, Ian, Damian, Eduardo, Brittany and Adrian; grandchildren Maricela, Ariella, Axton, Eduardo Rodriguez II, and Gary Lara III. Other survivors include his mother Lupe Martinez, siblings, Prescilla Guevara (Robert) and Jeremy Guevara, uncles, Joe (Mary Jane), Manuel (Cindy), Pete (Peggy) and Perfecto Baca. He is also survived by his aunts, Yolanda Rodriguez, Easabel Berrones (Mario), Anita Savala (Felix) and Maria Alcantar and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N Oakes St, San Angelo, Texas.
The funeral procession will depart at 9:30 from the funeral home for a 10:00 am graveside service at Belvedere Memorial Park on Arden Road.
