Richard Perez

Richard P. Perez Sr went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Richard was born on May 21, 1956, in San Angelo, Texas to Juan L. Perez and Maria P. Perez. He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his sister, Teresa M. Perez. 

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Perez of 47 years; brother Robert Perez and wife Victoria Perez; brother Jesse Perez; daughter Melissa Mendez and husband James Mendez; son Rick Perez and wife Ashley Perez; four grandchildren, Chris Mendez, Brandon Mendez, Aiden Perez, and John Perez; and several nephews and nieces. 

Richard devoted much of his time and energy to his dear grandchildren. He loved nothing more than seeing them grow up, attending their many activities and sports, especially watching them play baseball, and was of course always very proud of all their accomplishments.  Richard was a loving and caring husband, brother, dad, grandpa (Pops), and friend (Little Rich), and will be deeply missed by many. The family would like to thank and extend their appreciation to Dr. Cheruku and staff, as well as send a special thank you to St. Gabriel’s Hospice Care.  Richard’s family will receive friends and family on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
