For those who loved Richard Ramon Sr., 60, of San Angelo, TX, life will not feel quite the same without his familiar voice, steady presence, and love for family.
Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 22, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1966. Richard lived a life grounded in devotion to those he loved most, finding purpose in hard work, faith, and the quiet moments shared with family.
For more than 20 years, Richard worked as a skilled painter, leaving his mark through his craftsmanship and dedication. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing and was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He had a deep appreciation for Oldies music and treasured the time spent with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Richard’s faith was an integral part of his life; he gave his life to God and embraced the blessings of family and nature.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Janette Ramon; his children, Richard Ramon Jr., Andrea Michelle Herrera and her spouse Abelehza Herrera, Jacob Ramon, and Daniel C. Gloria; and his mother, Lupe Sanchez. He also leaves behind his siblings: David Ramon; Armando Ramon; Yvonne R. Alvarez and her spouse Brandon; Roxanne Ramon Acosta and her spouse Francisco Sr.; Mark De Arruda and his spouse Cassandra; and Crystal DeArruda Randell and her spouse Anthony. Additionally, he is remembered by his sister-in-law Amanda Justo and her spouse Geronimo; grandchildren Anthony, Serenity, Destiny, Dezi, Analicia, Kylan, Xavien, and Joshua; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as close friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Ramon; father, Joe H. Ramon Sr.; brother, Joe Ramon Sr.; maternal grandparents, Alfonzo and Eva Sanchez; and paternal grandparents, Pete and Tomasa Ramon.
Richard’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May the love he shared, the faith he carried, and the memories he leaves behind bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
