Robert Carlos Mata "RC"

Robert Carlos Mata (R.C.), 38 of San Angelo, Texas and formerly of Sonora, Texas, sadly taken from us on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in San Angelo, Texas.  Treasured memories will stay in our hearts forever.

RC is preceded in death by his loving brother, Daniel Mata.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Crystal, his son Cayden and daughter Chloe.  R.C. will be lovingly remembered by his parents Roberto Mata and his wife Irma Bautista Mata, his sister, Monica Mata McWright (Donnie) and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes, San Angelo, Texas with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at Sonora City Cemetery, in Sonora, Texas with Pastor Freddie Chavarria officiating.  Services have been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 North Oakes Street, San Angelo, Texas.

Taking R.C. to his place of rest are Steve Chavarria, Jonathon Chavarria, Freddie Joe Chavarria, Donnie McWright, Chris Martinez and Israel Mendoza.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys, NFL Pro Football, and especially cheering his home team,  the Sonora Broncos.

R. C. loved to fire up a grill and prepare a West Texas style barbeque for family and friends and traveling with his wife and children.
