There are some people you don’t describe by titles alone, you describe them by the way they lived, the things they loved, and the memories they leave behind.
Rocky Dee Weidner, 71, from San Angelo, Texas was born in Bronte, Texas. On April 30, 2026, Rocky leaves behind a family who knew his love well, through shared meals, time spent together, and the many moments he made meaningful.
He was most at home behind a grill, where barbecue meant more than food, it meant laughter, stories, and time with the people who mattered most. He had a way of turning simple moments into lasting memories.
Rocky found peace outdoors, hunting and appreciating the quiet. And at times, when the day wound down, he was either watching wrestling or dirt track racing.
At home, he was never on the sidelines. He was in the middle of it, wrestling with his grandchildren, laughing, teaching, and showing his love in ways that didn’t need words.
Services for Rocky Weidner will be held on Monday, May 4 at 11:00 AM at Celebration Church, located at 2539 Sunset Drive in San Angelo, Texas. A reception will immediately follow.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, serving each family with compassion, integrity, and respect.
