We are sad to announce the passing of Rodrigo Ruiz Hernandez, age 91, of San Angelo Texas, on Friday, January 5, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Rodrigo was born to Jose Hernandez and Petra Hernandez on September 24,1932 in Medina County.

He would say that on a hot humid day you really can hear the corn grow. Walk in the field and you will hear it crackle. At night if you look to the sky, you will see the lights of heaven shining through the stars, He enjoyed what God has given us.
He met and married his beautiful wife, Maria E. Perez, in Devine Texas. Together they raised three daughters and one son.
Rodrigo will be lovingly remembered by his children, Juanita Ramirez and husband Steve, Lillie Landin and husband Raul, Julie Hernandez and Samuel Hernandez. Every Farmer puts his land to rest for the winter. On springs horizon, it is brought back to life. God has put His farmer to rest and with a spring in his step, a corn stalk in his hand, he walks the horizon to a new life. Rodrigo will be laid to rest at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, following the funeral service.
