His childhood was spent in rural Crane, Texas and as a young man he enjoyed Team Roping.  He married Carolyn Wright Carroll in Monahans, Texas on December 18, 1976.  His life was spent driving a truck, and, no matter the cargo, you knew if Glenn was hauling it then it would get there on time. In his later years, he took a job working permits for all his trucking buddies carrying oversized loads all over the United States.  In 2011, Glenn was diagnosed with Extended Small Cell Lung Cancer. He fought every day of the last 9 years through Chemo, Radiation, Brain Tumors, Diabetes and many other medical conditions. Glenn and Carolyn recently moved back to Texas, Colorado City, Texas, after living 5 years in Virginia and Tennessee with their daughter.  Glenn was blessed to have so many friends and family surrounding and filling his life with love and happiness.  Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Zula Bee Anderson and Red Carroll; bothers Nelson Carroll and Donnie Conlee; and his four-legged side kicks Howdy and Gia. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Carroll and four-legged side kicks Tinker Bell and Chi Chi; his step-father Ted Anderson; his brother JD Conlee of Crane, Texas; his sister Tracey Anderson of Colorado City, Texas; his son Jason Carroll and daughter-in-law Dena Carroll; his grandchildren Justin Moore of Toledo, Ohio; Alexis Carroll of Dallas, Texas; Cameron Carroll, Jayla Carroll and grand-dog Diamond of Ponder, Texas; daughter Dru Maclin and son-in-law Richard Maclin; his grandchildren Sara Maclin, Nathan Maclin and grand-dog Axel of Atoka, Tennessee.  In lieu of flowers, Glenn requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name.
