Santino Darrio Aguirre, a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend, was born in San Angelo, TX, on February 18, 1975. He was called home by his heavenly Father on June 13, 2025, at the age of 50, to reunite with his father and older brother.
Santino's journey began in San Angelo public schools, where he formed lasting friendships. He cherished his childhood, playing T-ball and baseball, often coached by his father. He was an avid A&M football and Metallica fan. The child in him still liked He-Man and enjoyed playing Call of duty with his oldest daughter. For the past decade, he dedicated himself to the food industry, where he was known for his warm heart and amusing spirit. He will be remembered by all for his comedic antics.
He leaves behind his beloved mother, Lydia S. Aguirre, and his wife, Shannon Aguirre. His legacy continues through his four children: Alexis, Dominique, Kassy, and Santino Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Brenda Echavarria and Scott Aguirre, along with Scott's wife, Maria Aguirre. Santino's family includes numerous nieces and nephews, among them Orlando and Rolando Echavarria, Bonnie Echavarria, Brianna, Nicholas, and Logan Aguirre, as well as 5 great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Santino was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francisco and Medarda Santellano, his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Juanita Aguirre, his father, Frank Daniel Aguirre, and his brother, Leroy Aguirre. He also mourned the loss of multiple maternal uncles, including John Rangel Sr., Frank Santellano, and Ruben Santellano, as well as paternal aunts and uncles, such as Ida Rodriguez, Ben Aguirre, Ernest Aguirre, and Oscar Aguirre.
Santino will be dearly missed, but his love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
