With humble acceptance of God's will, we announce the passing of Sara Chavez Garcia, 93, of San Angelo, Texas on Friday, September 9, 2022. Sara was born in Las Pilas San Antonio Guayamayo, Guerrero, Mexico on May 2, 1929, to Felipe Chavez Olace and Abigail Rios Bustos.
Sara leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children: sons, Enoch Garcia, Edward Garcia and wife, Clara Garcia, Humbert Garcia, Juan Samuel Garcia and daughter Eugenia Garcia. Sara will be forever remembered by her brothers, Ildefonso Chavez, Nelson Chavez, Felipe Chavez, Racho Chavez, as well as her sisters, Brenda Murillo and Ilda Chavez Rico.
Sara will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Brian Garcia, Alejandra Mosqueda, Veronica Garcia Trejo and husband, Joey Trejo, Angelica Garcia, Dionisio Garcia, Olivia Garcia, Vicente Garcia, Juan Garcia Jr., Brittany Garcia, Michael Pool, Robert Ortegon and Ramiro Mosqueda, Fernanda Garcia, as well as her great-grandchildren, Oasis Garcia, Nirvana Garcia, Roman Garcia, Augustus Garcia, Leonel Garcia, Andrez Consuelo, Jacob Garcia, Humberto Lopez Jr., Sebastian Lopez, Natalie Lopez, Analeigh Trejo and Audrina Trejo.
Sara will also be missed by her faithful doggie companion, Pancho.
There is something quiet and stirring about a mother who is faithful in everyday life, Sara was, she was faithful to the work of daily life with grace. Sara was unwavering in the love of family and faith. She enjoyed a collaborative and caring relationship with her husband, Antonio, operating their family-owned business, Pops Bakery. Sara's interests included devoting much of her time and energy visiting on a daily basis her children to assure they were safe and sound even into their adulthood, she had a passion for her flower garden and would tend it with love and care. Her vivacious and giving spirit will be missed by many.
Sara was a light in this world, and now we need to continue shining her light by carrying it within us in our own lives. Please join us for a Celebration of Sara's life on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nazareth Presbyterian Church. 313 West Avenue "N", San Angelo, Texas.
