Sergio Enrique "Checo" Rodriguez

Sergio Enrique Rodriguez, 42, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Del Rio, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, June, 9, 2025, from 9:00 am till 10:00 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 N Oakes St., San Angelo, Texas  76903.  Interment will be on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 3:00 pm.  Services have been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels and the Gutierrez family.

Sergio Enrique Rodriguez peacefully departed on May 30th, 2025, at the young age of 42. Sergio was born on June 1st, 1982, in Indio, California to his late father Sergio E. Rodriguez and mother Delma Rodriguez. Raised in the border town of Del Rio, Texas, Sergio’s love for loud Mexican music and dances is what brought him to his wife, Baleria. His selfless personality not only received her; Sergio also received her two daughters, Maria and Valeria. They later settled in Big Lake, Texas, and welcomed their third daughter, Abygail. Sergio dedicated his time to his work, giving almost 15 years to numerous oilfield companies. He always made sure that his little family was taken care of. He was a constant presence in their life. Time with them was the most important thing to him. Sergio was a devoted man with a special and unique perspective on life. He loved sharing a good laugh, always made sure to look sharp, and of course, always needed to have a good cumbia to accompany him anywhere he went. Above all, he fulfilled his destiny as a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather, always capturing every moment spent with those who gave him his titles. He is survived by his wife Baleria Rodriguez and their daughters Abygail Rodriguez, Maria Magdalena Rodriguez, Valeria Rodriguez, grandson Kyrie Enrique, daughter-in-law Yailin Isamara Rodriguez, sisters Roxana Menchaca and Sandra Torres, brother Martin Rodriguez, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and friends. Though we must now walk this world without you, your love will remain beside us. We will continue to celebrate you and all of the beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. We love you to the moon and back, Dad. We are so lucky to call you ours.
