Theresa "Terry" Rodriguez

To remember Theresa “Terry” Rodriguez is to remember a woman whose generosity, laughter, treasured family traditions, and quiet acts of kindness made everyone around her feel welcome. Caring for others wasn't something she tried to do, it was simply who she was.

The life that would one day become a blessing to so many first began in San Angelo, Texas on October 07, 1960, when Teresa was born to Pascual and Isabel Torres.

The kitchen was one of the many places where Terry’s love came to life. Whether preparing a favorite meal, making her well-loved potato salad, or ensuring there was always room for dessert, Theresa found joy in bringing family together around the table. Holidays and birthdays were never ordinary occasions in her home. They were opportunities to celebrate, to laugh, and to create memories that would be cherished long after the day had passed. Christmas, her favorite season of all, filled her heart with a special kind of joy that she eagerly shared with everyone around her.

Terry’s generosity reached far beyond her own home. No matter the gathering, Terry rarely arrived empty-handed. Even when assured that everything had already been prepared, she couldn't resist bringing something to contribute. It wasn't because anyone expected it, it was because giving came naturally to her. Thoughtfulness was woven into the fabric of her life.

Terry had a gentle way of helping those around her feel cared for and welcomed. She also found happiness in tending to her yard and caring for her plants, taking pride in the beauty she cultivated around her home, like the plants she nurtured.

Family was the center of her world. She loved deeply, celebrated wholeheartedly, and treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by the people she loved most. Whether enjoying a cold Big Red, sharing dessert after a meal, or simply sitting together talking long after the dishes had been cleared, it was never about the food or the occasion, it was about being together.

More than anything, Terry will be remembered for the love she poured into everyday moments. She taught those around her that kindness is often found in the simplest gestures, that family is life's greatest blessing, and that a table prepared with love has a way of bringing hearts together long after the meal has ended.

Terry's story continues through the family she loved so deeply. Among those who will carry her memory forward are her beloved husband, Adrian Rodriguez; her brothers and sisters, who shared a lifetime of memories with her: Gilbert Torres, Joe Torres, John Torres, Dan Torres, Steve Torres, Amelia Meza, Rita Holguin, Rachel Trejo, Maggie Amaya and Anita Leal; her daughter, Isabel Garcia (Mathew); her son, Adrian Rodriguez II (Jessenia); her grandchildren, Joseph Gonzales, Clarissa Martinez, J.J. Martinez, Ariana Rodriguez and Adrian Rodriguez.

Terry now reunites with her parents, Pascual and Isabel Torres, where love knows no distance and family is together once again.  While her place at the family table now sits quietly, the love she poured into every gathering, every holiday, and every life she touched will continue for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to gather in prayer and remembrance during a memorial service that will be held on Friday, July 03, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North, 1002 North Oakes Street, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
